A Town Called Forget

CP Hoff

A young girl is sent away to the town of Forget and learns there is nothing forgettable about it.

Can you imagine being sent to a place where five-year-olds fight gay dwarfs? Where chickens are Catholic? And where cows can heal?

Well neither can sixteen year old Girly. But, when she is sent to live with her ailing aunt that is exactly what she finds. As she tries to navigate her way through the strange town of Forget, she starts to learn things about the town and herself she never thought possible. It doesn't take long for her to realize, Forget is a place she will always want to remember.

A special thanks to T.L Tyson who helped me with my pitch. Well, to be honest, she wrote my pitch.

C.P. Hoff

Have you ever loved someone but wanted them to change? But when they changed you wanted them back to the way they were?

As with any family, the relationship between parent and child can be challenging, each negotiating how they fit and belong in one another's lives. It's no different with the O'Briens. Mr. O'Brien's struggle with his daughter, Mary-Kate, seems unending. In his eyes she is dull, and worse than that, she is contemplating becoming a nun. His wife is at her wits end. She does her best to bring peace, but there seems to be no peace to be had. And after Mr. O'Brien adds the scoundrel Patrick Fitzpatrick to the mix it would seem that there is nothing left for Mrs. O'Brien to do but fall on her knees and cross herself. But as in life, not everything is as it seems.

(TnĂșth is a finished novel, with only the first 10 chapters uploaded.)

A special thanks to Bradley Wind for creating my cover.

Welcome to Authonomy. Just thought I would pop by and look at your book. Your strenght is in you discription and I think because of it the story seems to be more weighted in that direction. You give so many details. I have read many other fantasy book who stories are weighted likewise. I struggle wi... view book

I think something happened when you downloaded you book. Some of the punctuation is a bit strange. I like how you start your story light and fun. Showing carefree summer afternoon. I wonder if the scene might be a bit long though. Not sure. I also wonder if some of the information you give shouldn't... view book

I think your story is full of passion and emotion. It feels like you can see it well in you mind. Those are good things but I think you have your characters doing to many things. In the first few paragraphs you have them look at a watch, sigh, open his eyes, cross his legs, close his eyes, fold his ... view book

I haven't been on this site for a long time- almost a year so I am a little rusty. That being said I will give it a go. I think you have a lot going for you here. Interesting characters, conflict right from the start, not standing around here. Probably why you have made it so far. But there were ... view book

Some writing seems more real than others. As if the characters could be living in the house next door. This feels real. Well peppered with humor. Good luck Connie view book
