about me

I'm a former radio presenter who got bored of playing records in darkened rooms. Having finally become disillusioned by a freelance job at the BBC I decided to plunge headlong into the World of writing.

My work is now published through All Mouse Media. It's available in the shops now and I'm on a book signing tour, so please look out for me and come and say hello!

I am looking for agent representation.

Bringing Home the Stars

Jennifer E. Kirk

A lone man confronts his personal demons , in the updating of the classic 'haunted house' formula set in deep space.

Dezza is a gritty salvager in a harsh world. Forced to confront an urban myth made of the retelling of stories of the Mary Celeste, he finds himself pitched into a nightmare aboard a derelict Starliner in deep uncharted space. He loses his friends, his livelihood and his reputation aboard the Starliner. Returning to civilisation, he struggles to come to terms with society's prejudices of a man who lost his crewmate to a ghost story, and the demons that lurk within his own mind.

The full book is available now from Waterstones, Amazon and a number of other retailers.

Well written with a nice depth to the writing. Accessible and clear, there is nothing of note I spotted that I could fault. Backed. -Jenny- view book

A great, strong narrative that really sets this book out. Post-apocolyptic fiction is an area that has a lot of writers, but you've managed to avoid the main pitfalls and come up with a really strong book here. Nice work. Backed. -Jenny- view book

This is a really great idea that will certainly appeal to children and young adults. There's some great imagination here that has gone into creating this anamatist's world, and I love it! Definitely shelved! view book

Well constructed and well written. Not the sort of book that I personally tend to read (there are many bestsellers out there which did nothing for me, not because the author did anything wrong but just because of my personal reading preferences). From a pure editorial point of view, there was nothin... view book

This is a deeply moving piece of writing. The characters are strong, and the world it is set in has a lovely convincing Orwellian feel to it. Nothing I could find to fault. Nicely done. Backed. -Jenny- view book
