about me

I taught in Secondary Education for ten years before leaving the profession to bring up my two children. Once they were grown, I retrained as a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and worked in Primary Care until recently. I have been writing stories and poetry for over fifteen years, and have had poems published in a variety of magazines and in the poetry anthology The New Poetry.

I am more than happy to swap read.

Hi Almuth, I loved the style of your writing immediately, and Emily's bubbly character leapt off the page. I chuckled right through Normsville and found the 4 chapters I read absolutely charming. A unique work that deserves every success. Backed with pleasure! Nicky. view book

Hi Chris, I have read the first three chapters of this ( not nearly enough if the other commentators are correct), but I could see the merit in the writing and the depth of the characters almost immediately. Hi Christina, Your book is such fun, fast paced, witty, and if I may say so, slick. I enjoyed the first three chapters very much. Certainly suits your target audience. Happy to back, Nicky. (Nuns & Pregnant Girls.) view book

Hi Jared. The Silence of the Lambs came to mind as I read chapter One. Scary writing very well executed. And I do like a gibbous moon on th erise! The end of each chapter has a definite hook. All in all excellent stuff. Backed. Nicky. (Nuns & Pregnant Girls.) view book
