about me

My novel 'Foxblood' is aimed at the young adult market, the genre that I prefer to read and discuss. It is complete at 75,000 words and part two is now under edit.

Comments welcomed.

I'm open to swapping reads...you first!
If you back or comment on my book I will always read yours. I always rate the books that I read and have used every rating from 1-6 so far! I don't always comment but I will if you've left one for me.

If you don't receive a backing then I'll apologise in advance but still wish you luck with your endeavor.

One incident is all it takes to change your life. Though Sophie didn’t know it, for her it happened the day the fox attacked her.

Sophie’s life has finally turned around. She’s moved away from home, is back with her best friend ever and is doing the one thing in the world that she loves, art.
Life’s perfect…or is it?
Something’s strange about her new town. People are dying and an old house pulls her towards its doors. Sophie’s changing too; could it be anything to do with a recent fox bite? All becomes clear when she meets the seductive Sebastian and he reveals his family’s secret.

This is an intriguing beginning. Will you be finishing it? I'll stick it on my watchlist and look out for updates. Starred Raquel. Foxblood xx view book

Hi, I've had a good read of your novel so far and I enjoyed what I read. I particularly liked the first section of Trent's thoughts. that was the section with the 'hook' for me. It starts off very much like a young adult novel but further along the language and situations get more mature and, judg... view book

I really liked the beginning of this story. It drew me in immediately with it’s dark, mysterious air and I don’t agree with Kate LaRue’s review below, regarding the telling in the subway station. I read a lot of stories where obvious ‘telling’ is grating and I did not find that at all. The descripti... view book

Hi, I liked this. The second chapter had a better flow for me than the first. I loved the description of her teacher and the intriguing scar. I did notice one thing... 'Him and Brandon are Best friends.' - should be 'He and Brandon...' Keep up the good work and good luck. Starred. Raquel ... view book

Hi' I have a feeling I've read this one before. I can see why you're doing so well wth your climb to the desk. It's well written with some nice descriptions. I would begin the second chapter with 'Our house' to avoid confusion with time scales. From an exciting beginning, the pace then becomes a ... view book
