about me

I am a retired Police Officer/Forensic Investigator. I've written three novels, the first published using print on demand.
My second book is a kind of therapy after retiring as it combines some of the more interesting scenes i investigated over the past 20 years.

I have a daughter in university becoming a doctor and I am an avid rider of horses. (western-english saddles give me a wedgy)

I'm also a professional photographer (forensics is heavy on photography)

I look forward to reading the works of others in here and will try to get back to you as soon as possible with comments.

I have created a thread in the forum section letting writer's of crime novels know that i am available for advice on police/forensic procedures.

The Staff has now been completely uploaded. (bit of a pain adding the chapters after the fact)

I would also appreciate any input on my latest novel, "The Ostiary".

Thanks

so far so good. the first couple of chapters have fired my imagination and drawn me easily into the story. I like this type of period writing and your writing lets the reader fall into the story nicely. backed. view book

Hi Tony. great prologue. (i have one in my first novel) Most people think prologues shouldnt be used but sometimes, i think the story benefits from them. Excellent concept for a story and you move back and forth between dimensions easily. I found it very easy to follow and thats a hard thing to... view book

You have a wide range of story telling ability. This one was not what i expected after reading your first, but very pleasantly surprised. Well done. Good pacing and build up which is essential with thrillers. I"m horrible at trying to write in some romance with my stories so if you dont mind i'l... view book

Very provocative read so far. I like how you weave in the flashback and create suspense. And of course, the forensic part is appealing to me as well. Looking forward to reading more. Richard view book

Hi Sheryl. Not a bad job at all. I can see using Wayne and his coworkers was well worth the effort. But..... and this is the difference between lab people and a field investigator. You left the box of shells behind without Devlin's fingerprints. I'm going to assume when you purchased the shells... view book
