Hi - I'm a newspaper journalist from Northern Ireland and I've completed my first novel A River To Cross, set in North Korea. I'm finishing my second entitled The Standing Man, a parallel narrative set in South Armagh at the height of the Troubles in which an IRA man returns to the church where he caused carnage ten years earlier. I've just started my third called 'Cake' in which a Women's Institite Victoria sponge competition leads to cold-blooded murder.I've written for newspapers at home and in the USA and I've produced a short documentary for television, but my ambition is to be a full-time novelist.I'm also addicted to reading.

I don't think you'll have any difficulties finding an agent for Sim! I am not a fantasy reader, but ... view book
What lovely poetry you have here Nikhil. The ideas behind it are uplifting and powerful, but most of all thought-provoking. I'd definitely encourage you to push it as much as possible and to keep penning these beautiful poems. Good luck with them! Gillian view book
Hi JAK - thanks for your comments on A River To Cross! I'm really glad you stopped to comment, otherwise I probably wouldn't have stumbled across this wonderful gem. I was really drawn in from the start, sucked into Sim's world, and empathising with him, really feeling what he was going through. ... view book
Hi AE - I reach Chapter One, and even though I'm not that fond of thrillers, I was really sucked in by this, It's well paced and you have all the hallmarks of a great book here. Jutst some minor grammatical errors need your attention, but that said, I enjoyed what I read. My only concern would be ... view book
Hi Ken I started reading your chapters thanks to an interesting blurb. It drew me in because it's an area I know nothing about. I get the feeling this is quite an achievement, writing on this topic, but it comes across as knowledgeable and well-researched. Although the style is quite simple and l... view book
