about me

I'm back! Please feel free to email me and let me know if I can help you with reading your books.

Like many others here I yearn to be published so, members of authonomy, publishers and agents alike please take a look at my website. The address is www.writing4oneandall.weebly.com and I can be contacted through that or through my regular email which is mwinrow1@sky.com. If you contact me through weebly and have a book on here, let me know you come from here and I'll be sure to read your book and make comments. Hope that's fair!

Well I live and breathe writing, especially since a major accident 6 years ago (more on the website!) My first book, The Narrow Boat Adventure of James, Katie and Lewis was published in April 2007 and is available in all good bookshops and on the internet. In my spare time(!) I am involved in a number of charities, especially the Alzheimers Society and Platform 51, and have interviewed over 100 celebrities (probably my favourite hobby). I get my ideas from everywhere - it's amazing how often I'll see a photograph or hear a snippet of conversation which ignites a story. I love looking after my sister's gorgeous dog and am passionate about the theatre. I love anything to do with the paranormal. I am pretty picky about music - I love The Coral (especially Put the Sun Back), Gilbert O'Sullivan, Brotherhood of Man, and ABBA of course. But I also love listening to ballad type music and instrumental - I can't write if there's music or noise going on in the background as it influences me too much.

The Wishing Tree

Elizabeth James (a.k.a Melanie....

If you like Alice in Wonderland and The Wizard of Oz, you will LOVE this book!

Orphan Lindsey Bright is bereft after her best friend is adopted. A trip into town yields a surprise gift in the shape of a Wishing Tree. That night Lindsey writes a desperate letter to Santa Claus, places it beneath the tree and finds herself transported into a bizarre world peopled by many strange characters including mice, foxes and, not forgetting the terrifying Tigerphantus! Lindsey sets out to find Santa before he has to leave, a task made more difficult when she is imprisoned in a terrible case of mistaken identity. Can Lindsey convince King Misery that she is not who he thinks she is? Can she reach Santa in time and persuade him to make her dream come true at last? The answers to these questions and more are within the pages of the book you are about to read. Hold on to your hats as you join Lindsey and her friends on an exciting jaunt where old stories blend with new to create an amazing adventure you will remember - forever! This story will make you laugh and cry - I guarantee you will be begging for more by the last page!

Hi Christina Sorry, having endless technical problems at the moment. I reread the first few stories last night and laughed myself silly, It's almost impossible to make me laugh off the page but you managed it! Your characterisation is brilliant and, on one story, there was almost a charicatu... view book

This amazing book starts at a breathtaking pace and maintains the tension. The first scene is incredibly exciting and I felt myself panting as the tension mounted. Just when you feel that you will faint with the anticipation building, Orma changes the scene so you are able to take a breather, but ... view book
