about me

Thanks to all who provided me with helpful feedback on No One in Particular. After some thought, I have decided to withdraw from Authonomy, as I can't expend the time required here without letting another area of life suffer. My hope initially was to recieve some unbiased and objective feedback on my work, while providing the same to others, and while I believe I have recieved some of that, it is often difficult to tell whether people are backing out of kindness, or to move their own work up. For those whose works I've commented on, I hope my comments were in some way useful. I can't keep up with the pace on here, and found myself doing what I didn't want to do, backing some people without comments, or simply because they had backed me. That isn't what I wanted to do, so it's best that I leave. Hopefully Harper Collins will someday work out a new and better system. Good luck to you all and thanks for the experience.

Alena, I read your first five chapters and felt that I was given the chance to see another world. Thank you for that. I love the letter format and I love the perspective on a world that is so different from mine. I have to go to bed, but I wanted to see where this was going and how it might evolve... view book

Jared, This made for an interesting and provoking morning's read and kept me captivated. I'm struggling with the comment sections of authonomy as I am still working at perfecting my own writing and it seems weird taking the stance of commenting on another's writing. Your work is polished and profe... view book

Good morning Betty, Your work was an absolute pleasure to read over my morning coffee! I read slowly and carefully, wanting to ensure that I could be helpful and point out anything that might need tweaking. The only thing I had difficulty with was the scene where the horses bolt. In my head I pictu... view book

Your writing immediately took me back into the past, and as the writer before me commented, it is very polished and professional, as well as being descriptive, though not at all overdone. While this isn't something I would typically pick up on a bookshelf, it made me think that maybe I should get ou... view book
