about me

I'm forty-eight going on ten and that's just the way that I like it. I work at a volunteer local middle school where I run a mural painting club after school for the kids and to date is has been a great success. I illustrate and write for the remainder of my day.

I've had several cover arts published and was lucky to be published by the BBC in the Book of the Future - a Douglas Adams venture a few years back.

At this time I have a team of children that help me with my writing - some kids I know and others that I do not know. This is a great help to me - it's gold dust.

I'm not very good at spotting my mistakes on the page - the typos and the spelling mistakes and this drives me to distraction. Is there a form of dyslexia for mistakes, I wonder?

I'm more than pleased to send you the full synopsis should you wish to read it...

My novel work, in part, is illustrated by me, though with more hours in the day I would do more illustrations for my stuff.

Thanks to all my reviewers and readers, Thanks...

Love,

MarkXX...

Pipe Fairies, Revolution

Mark Pettifer

Set in the present day, Pipe Fairies, Revolution is a fairy tale of revolution and the bringing down of a corrupt fairy oligarchy.

"Oh, thanks again, High Council, for all the lies, deceit and all other nasty things in the pipes. Why don’t any of the grown-ups get this? It’s so simple and so obvious. Everything is hidden in plain sight. "

Hi Su, I like your writing style also. It works for me too. I like the format of your book very much. It pinpoints in time the progression of the narrative and that works well for me here. Thanks for pointing me in your direction,,,All the best with your book,,, MarkXX... magic view book

Thank you for posting this book. I'm so pleased that you start the first chapter with the 'action' while blending the place description in with the action. I like the structure of the first chapter - all I have had time to read at this time - I like the pace and the way that the characters are intro... view book

Hi Liz, Thank you so much for your kindness concerning PFR. I teach at a middle school as it happens and have shown many of the illustration and story ideas by a few of my pupils, so I suppose that Middle school is the age my tale start sat - hopefully enjoyed by the odd adult also. Thank you so much for the read. I don't know why I have those yellow bits at the end of a line - there are none on the upload. This is only a first draft manuscript at this time - I'm writing it at this time - about 220 pages in, There are going to be lots of re-writes and spell checks. Thanks a ... view book
