The Fight for Your Soul
I am a former journalist who is currently in the mortgage industry. The genre that I am trying to break into the publishing industry with would be considered thrillers. I believe that in order for an artist (in any form) to be successful, he/she must be willing to give an honest and sincere evaluation of the work of his/her peers with no politics or favors expected. I have been trying to break into the publishing industry for more than fifteen years as most of what I have learned about novel writing has been self-taught, and only now do I believe my skills have reached the level where that is possible.

The Fight for Your Soul

jsault2003

The Apocalypse starts when the beast escapes captivity in Israel. Project Phoenix can save humanity if Jonathan can complete it before the beast destroys him.

Jonathan Stephenson survives the release of the antichrist, in the form of the beast, from its prison in Israel’s Negev Desert. Now he seeks to alert humanity, but first, he must elude the beast and survive the Negev Desert on foot. In Tel Aviv, a dying Chinese colonel takes his last breath as the beast inhabits his body. After he returns to China and executes a bloodless coup, Hong Liang Sheng develops China into a superpower second only to the United States of America. The beast was not content to be number two. Jonathan recruits prodigies for a project to save a sample of humanity as the Seven Seals and Seven Trumpets of the book of Revelation unfold. United States National Security Adviser Kayla Sims tries to help Jonathan complete Project Phoenix before the flood gates of Armageddon open to set the stage for one thousand years of the Millennial Rule.

THE FORCES OF EVIL in this world do not want you to read this book. It contains information they don't want you to consider. Should you decide to read The Fight for Your Soul, do not blink. You might miss something.

Prologue You have a different type of Prologue opening that should capture some attention. The vague forms…the Silk Sector. I suggest breaking this into at least two sentences. …against the silvery rectangular touchscreen,…may be better as…against the silvery, rectangular…as I suggest separ... view book

I NEED YOUR HELP. I have been told that there are typos in the first chapter. I have combed it five times and still can't find them. If you see what I missed, please let me know. Thank You. view book

Prologue I suggest rewriting the opening paragraph to contain a first sentence that reaches out, grabs the reader, and pulls them into the story. This “hook” will be the deciding factor to many readers (but especially editors) as to whether or not they want to continue reading. I suggest elimin... view book

jsault2003 SLYDE Review Chapter 1 Good opening. My immediate thought is about what is going on here. That question drove me forward for answers. You’re touched on some issues of a decayed society in this first chapter that makes it even more interesting, that being Feds sitting around a fire... view book

Chapter 1 Your first sentence should contain your “hook.” This is what grabs the reader’s attention and pulls them into the story. It has to have impact. Something like… Death and destruction surrounded us. The only problem is that we were being cheated out of our chance to create it. After abou... view book
