Two English friends travel to LA for a summer of bars, women and a one time shot at a business deal.
David, a twenty eight year old failing musician with a history of dead end jobs, has begun to do whatever it takes to get by, working with Mark, his best friend, in one questionable business venture after another.
This in turn takes them to a one time business opportunity in L.A, a world away from a life they both despise in England. Once there they lose themselves in the city, bars and women but even in their element everything begins to fall apart.
David, in an attempt to keep the reality of his life back home at bay, clings to the city, pursuing women, sex and drunken nights out until he meets Stephanie, a nineteen year old girl from London who is just looking for a good time, and Denise, an L.A. local, who shows him the real L.A away from the tourist spots and bright lights.
Eventually David finds himself awake to a totally new way of living whilst caught in the middle of his old life, a business deal gone wrong and an impossible future.
