New Book! (12/18/2011)
Dead Air is the story about a young man stuck in an impossible situation. He's the sole caregiver to his mother May, a housebound invalid, but he has an opportunity to drive for mega-pop-star Cindy Stone while she's in town.
When Cindy's agent is found dead in the recording studio, May, also a former lead detective, insists that Archie help her investigate.
When May is told to stop the investigation or face being institutionalized, Archie must choose whether to risk his mother's freedom and the well-being of blind girl Dina who's been helping Archie sniff out the Dead Air that's left four people dead...possibly including Archie's father.

STEAM PALACE JUST UPDATED! (11/18/2011)

STEAM PALACE is a Steampunk romp through alternate-history America, where proto-Nazis clash with British-style royalty while the Free Southland tries to democratize both. It features twins separated at birth, secret keys to impossible powers, airships and mechohorses, and of course, tea, corsets, and goggles.

I write in the Pacific Northwest and I'm seeking representation. Would love any and all (tasteful) critiques.

Dead Air: An Archie Magnuson M....

Andrew Rosenberg

You can't see, smell, or taste Dead Air, but it will kill you all the same.

Archie Magnuson's life changes when he becomes chauffeur to pop sensation Cindy Stone. It changes again when Cindy's agent is found lifeless in the studio. He wants nothing to do with it, but when his mom, a former lead detective turned housebound invalid, convinces him to help her investigate, he jumps at the chance to see her return to her old form.

Steam Palace

Andrew Rosenberg

After meeting your Evil Twin, you might just wonder which one you are.

A Steampunk romp through an America turned upside-down.

In a world swimming in mechohorses and dirigible aivies, where the former New England colonies created a British-style monarchy, a newborn twin is stolen. Sophia is raised in a noble house and provided every advantage, whilst her completely unknown twin Viola suffers crippling poverty. A score and three years later, when they first meet, Sophia is most destitute, her family name and lands a victim of an unfortunate dispute with the King. Meanwhile, to Sophia’s horror, her doppelgänger Viola lives a rich, vile life off the profits of sin.

To restore her family name and ‘save’ her newfound sister from an ignominious fate, Sophia enters the dark world of the Steam Palace, a floating den of iniquity built upon a derelict barge. When her rebuff of the Duke—Viola’s secret lover—leads to an imminent invasion the monarchy, Sophia wonders which one is truly the ‘Evil’ twin. She must unite with wretched Viola to protect their families before their steam-powered enemy exterminates their hated race…Americans.

I do have a moral quandary about Kid (and you) benefiting essentially from his criminal lifestyle. I would feel better if I knew there was something redemptive about this...where would the proceeds go? view book

Wow, gripping read. it's not clear why Ophelia invites Naomi in. Would like Naomi to pressure her to do so. Naomi seems a bit too passive about this for a POV character which makes me a bit disconnected from her. But aside from those nits, excellent writing. Already hoping Naomi has a bad fall... view book
