Freaky Fairy Tales

Declan Chellar

Enter a fairy-tale world of decadent princesses, corrupt kings and very, very well-endowed dwarves.

Among the woodlands, mountains and towns of the United Fairytale Emirates you will find magical tales of elves, fairies and dwarves… handsome princes, beautiful princesses, regal kings, majestic queens… hang on! That can’t be right. The UFE is a seething pit of decadence and corruption where everyone is out to screw everyone else. Not quite the fairy tale you were expecting? Welcome to reality.

Not for the young or the prudish!

Warning: contains profanity and knob jokes.

The Messiah Contract

Declan Chellar

God, guns, Triads, Death, the Devil, the Mafia, the police, a beautiful doctor and one very confused assassin.

Adam King, the world's second-best hit-man, accepts a contract to assassinate the new Messiah.

The Devil and the Mafia both want to stop him. The Triads and a terrorist group both want to kill him. His girlfriend has ditched him and his car has been hit by lightning - again.

It seems the only ones with any sympathy for him are God and Death. The trouble is... Adam's an atheist.

Thanks for your thoughts, Jon. A couple of people have said they don't like the footnotes to the prologue and since they aren't important, I have taken them out. TMC isn't really about the second coming (I hope the pitch isn't misleading). It's about the assassin hired to kill the new Messiah ... view book

Many thanks to Lisa-Marya, Elija, KR, Richie and Chris for taking the time to comment. The variations in the narrative voice probably came about because TMC was written piece-meal over the course of fifteen years (although the original version was written in the first six months). I am re-working... view book

Alexander, I value your pointing out these niggly things as I don't want anything to jar my readers' enjoyment of the story. Several people have been bothered by the switching between Adam and King, so I'll fix that. Thanks for your time. view book

V Crowe: You have no idea how much I appreciate the trouble you have taken to write such a detailed comment! I take on board your points. In some cases, you are right, without question. In other cases, I need to give it some thought. However, whether I make changes or not does not diminish my ... view book
