A BEGINNER'S GUIDE TO DRAGON F....

Nikki Bennett

Forget everything you thought you knew about dragons. Here's the real scoop...

Human beings only got a couple of facts right about dragons and here they are:

1. Dragons are scaly.
2, Dragons breathe fire.

Everything else, they got wrong.

When Joe, Maggie, and Alistair find themselves transported into an entirely different world, they discover what dragons are really all about.. And while they're learning, they join forces with a mysterious knight, confront an evil sorcerer, find a hidden treasure, and restore a kingdom to its former glory.

But can they stop bickering with each other long enough to work together and save the kingdom? And can they find out enough about dragons to unlock the secrets they need to get back home?

THE WORMS ARE COMING!

Nikki Bennett

The best defensive weapon against thugs and bullies is not karate or a gun. It's a big, fat worm.

Jingjing is a large, lumbering girl living in Hong Kong. Alessandro is a small, geeky boy living in Italy. They've never met, but they have one incredible thing in common. They both have discovered the worms.

There's something powerful, magical, even scary about the worms, and Jinjng and Sandro are determined to find out all their secrets. They embark on an incredible, wild adventure and unravel not only the mystery of the worms, but also discover some amazing secrets about themselves.

Well-written. Full of messages, like others have already commented, but it feels natural and fits the story. I like your writing style, your dialogue and you capture Jim's emotions verywell. NikkiB. A BEGINNER'S GUIDE TO DRAGON FIRE and THE WORMS ARE COMING! view book

You've got a great story here. It's humerous and witty and easy to read. I'm very glad I had just finished eating before I read the first chapter, or I'd be super hungry right now! And I like the way you switch your styles around--from writing first person straight to the lists, to the diary entr... view book

Good story! Small critique--you switch from present to past tense in the first couple of paragraphs. You might want to change that, or you might have done it specifically (in which case forget the critique!) I think it would sound better though it if was all past tense. Nikki B. I'm enjoying your story...one critique for you...in the first few paragraph you use the word "old" quite a bit. Maybe use some different and more interesting words in place of some of these: "ancient, aged, decrepit," etc. Nikki B. A BEGINNER'S GUIDE TO DRAGON FIRE and THE WORMS ARE COMING! view book
