about me

Hi and welcome
I love a good story, no matter the medium, books, music, movies, or word of mouth. I discovered the thrill of telling a story in high school after taking a creative writing class. Of course back then I used pencil and paper, typewriters were a luxury.
I loved the limitless possibilities that went with writing. Then life showed up and story telling was reduced to bedtime stories and homework encouragement.
It took me 30 years before I returned to writing it down. By that time, I had accumulated enough information and direction on the idea that it took a series of five novels to get it out of my head.
After I finished with the story that was 30 years in the making I wrote a few others, one is a simple sweet story with a happy ending, a couple attempts at mystery and of course, I had to write my idea of the 2012 Apocalypse.

Unlike many on this site, I am here to enjoy the fresh voice of others, my writing is a hobby. I have other hobbies as well, sewing, jewelry making and reading. My reading taste is vast, and includes fiction and non fiction. I love information, and I like things to make sense. I don't mind things not ending completely as long as all the loose ends are tied off or you intend on finishing it later.

Thanks for your interest

Contract Laborer

D.E. Bowers

Our Government has been moving its financially taxing responsibilities into the private sectors for many years, but how far will they go.

Late in the Twentieth Century our government made a discovery, which would change the way problems were solved, for decades to come. Government was under scrutiny for everything, and federal offices were being shut down or down sized in budget cuts. Searching for solutions, eager government officials examined countless databases, records and eyewitness reports. Free enterprise always finds a way around any government legislation and soon an essential obligation was passed to a civilian operation as a ‘contract for labor’. The Fraternal representative for independent Laborers was formed and all contracts were sent directly through this organization for dispersal. The Government, desiring no accountability, required no knowledge of how or when the contract would be fulfilled. Only desired results in a specific time frame.

Very good. I had every intention of reading the first few chapters and give my opinion. Not happening, I keep coming back for 'just one more chapter'. A few grammatical errors, but overall a very enjoyable story. Yep this is a backer. Thank you and Good luck view book

Hi Well written(content and style only, my grammar should never be relied upon), pace is wonderful, fast enough for interest, not too fast for details. Age of reader was my only concern, what age of child are you writing to? Children's books fall into a wide age range. This is only my opinion, b... view book
