The Four Horsemen are coming. Who will be the Four to stand against them?
Rescued by a stranger, PAGAN SPYRES is confronted with a terrible truth: that she has been tainted by something in the rubble. But Pagan is going to have a hard time adjusting to vampirism. That's why the stranger, TROY, wants to help her, by welcoming her as a member of his team: HEAVENSEND.
The rest of the team are in Scotland, investigating unusual concentrations of paranormal activity. SEB GREENGLASS, telekinetic, and SARA RAVEN, witch, interview locals over reports of ghosts gone missing, Black Dogs and other phenomena, while FAYN, clairvoyant ex-detective, ventures into the woods, where ancient forces have been unearthed and the locals are as hostile as any extraterrestrial. Troy himself is hunting a supernatural killer, whose victims are reduced to bloody shreds and lose more than their lives.
These are all early omens of the coming Apocalypse. But these events are not according to any Bible. The pattern of this Apocalypse is being drawn to a different design.
