about me

Although I will still be a member of authonomy and will visit the site, I am removing THE COBRA AND THE MONGOOSE for a comprehensive rewrite. It will return, probably with a new title, and we'll see what happens then--if anything.

Thank everyone who liked the book. I will miss those who have become friends even though we've never met.

Jan

Hi Tony --I had no intention of more than glancing at this book, but your pitch captured me and I read almost four chapters--my usual is three at most. This is an excellent book but I do have some suggestions. First, I think we need to see Rascal more. He kind of disappears after being the loyal ... view book

I read the first three wonderful chapters. I didn't realize this was a YA or children's book until I well into it and enjoying myself immensely. Ordinarily I don't read YA and below, but this has all the earmarks of a classic and good writing is good writing no matter what the genre or age group. Yo... view book

I don't think this is my cup of tea. It is probably me and not your writing (except for some changes of tense in chapter One), but I find it confusing, not sure who is who and what the various characters are. I wish you luck. Jan view book

Although I found Chapter One to be a little awkward with some distracting punctuation problems, it was interesting and moved along nicely. However, it is Chapter Two where the story really takes off and is a delight to read. The whole scene of waiting for Nero and then his arrival is wonderful. If ... view book

Andrew, I am not drawn to read either YA or fantasy, but have to say his is very well written and exciting. It starts off with a touching scene of boy and dragon--hard to make dragons and boys pals, but you made it quite believable. The school bus scene is perfect. You have set the stage for an exci... view book
