I hate email. I hate cell phones. This is the first online community I've ever even looked at. So this is really weird. That said, I'm twenty-seven and a stay-at-home mom to a toddler named Sophie and three hyper-jumping Jack Russell terriors. Oh, and I write all the time, I'm completely mental. I live in Texas. There's horses in my backyard and there's this humming bird that shows up every morning outside my window. They're seriously the only friends I have outside my family. I'm kind of damaged. So the world inside my book is pretty dark. But I also like to think you can find light and love inside darkness and even have a little fun. So my book is pretty fun. I'm half-baptist, half-catholic, mostly just me. This book isn't preachy so don't be scared. The majority of the time, I don't even enjoy going to mass (or church). This is just a journey I decided to take on the page and I hope I don't offend anyone. It's my first novel so try to go easy on me.
Frank Perretti's Piercing the Darkness, Charlaine Harris' Sookie Stackhouse novels, Stephanie Meyer (her alien novel is actually my favorite, though I think she rocks entirely), J.K. Rowling, and the Christopher guy who wrote the dragon books. I also read a lot of grocery store novels because I don't have a book store. I really enjoy Greg Illes (his WW2 books are the best) and I always follow Iris Johansen.

Hi! I just want to say I'm up to chapter four and completely involved with the story. I'd keep reading if my daughter didn't need to go bed. I think you have a brilliant gift for dialog. In fact, I've read published books with dialog that doesn't shine nearly as brightly as yours. I have to say,... view book
Karen, I really enjoyed your story. I love Sylvia, she's my kind of girl. I wish I could give you lots of advice, but I don't think I'm a very good writer. Nevertheless, I feel the need to support you because I think you're awesome. So I'm shelving you. Candace view book
