about me

After I graduated from Ohio State in '93, I enlisted in the USAF as an SP. My "would be" husband was a weapons troop in the 77th fighter squadron at Shaw AFB, SC.

I got out and did the "wife thing" for a bit. Sonny stayed in for 8 years.

We have two beautiful children (Daniel 15 and Ellie 10). Daniel is into drums, soccer and wrestling and believes school is beneath him. Ellie also plays soccer, scrapbooks with me, has to have a matching purse, but plays in the mud - go figure. They are both gifted and use their intelligence for evil much of the time. :)

Along the way I got an MA in teaching from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. Sonny is the Finance Director for Germain Toyota in Columbus, Ohio. After some recent events in our lives and much prayer, my wonderful husband is supporting me in the pursuit of a life-long dream. I have resigned my position as a teacher and I am currently writing a novel for young adults. Of course, I will need to substitute every now and then to fill emotional needs, but for the time being I will be a stay-at-home mom and writer! I don't know if I will ever be published, but I intend to give it my best shot. I will at least be able to show my children that I finished it and that I put forth my best effort. I am so very blessed, aren't I?

We live in Lancaster, Ohio and we are NEVER moving again if I have anything to say about it! :)

God has been very good to us and we are loving life! :)

favourite books

Of course, there are way too many to list! My current favorites are Janet Evanovich, Stephanie Meyer, John Grisham, Nicholas Sparks, and Alice Hoffman.

Obviously you know your writing is wonderful. I doubt my comments would be insightful. I am impressed by the flow and ease in spite of the period language. That usually trips me up so much that I put it down, even though the story would be right up my alley. Your opening is a page turner for sur... view book

I am so angry with you! I can't believe you opened your book the way you did! I'm not going into detail because I don't want to spoil it for those who haven't read it, but really? Seriously? Now, I'm not only concerned for the people of the town and the plant and animal life, but I have to worry ... view book

As I said before, you are very talented. I absolutely love this premise. I do know a little about the face that could launch a thousand ships and you tell it wonderfully through Neomene's eyes. I like her very much. She is curious and playful but very brave at only 14. I also enjoyed the language. I... view book

I just finished through Chapter 6. All I can say is that I truly love it. You had me invested in your characters before Chapter 1 was over. I even like the old crazy man. He's kinda gross with his crusty eyes and grey scum around his mouth, but he is meaningful and I wonder what he will bring to... view book

Hi again! :) I've been hearing such good things about Samael and you were so kind to take a look at mine, I had to take a peek at yours. Well, you are so talented that I took more than a peek! This is my kind of story. I was hooked within the first few lines by tarot, exorcist, the other side o... view book
