about me

I am an over the road truck driver, wife, mother, and grandmother. I am an avid reader, and hope to have my first book published by January.

***I always return reads. If you ask me to check out your book, then I am going to ask you to do the same. I don't "back" "shelf" "star" or "watch" arbitrarily. If I like your book then I will do so. ***

I try to live by one maxim when critiquing others' works.
"Let every word be seasoned with salt, and minister grace to the hearers."

SAVAGE TOMAHAWK

T.J. Martin

1890's Montana...Wild, wooly and full of fleas. Cassidy Deringer wouldn't have it any other way.

Cassidy Deringer foreman and part owner of the Tomahawk ranch blazes her own trail, in a time where women are considered only good for two things. Marriage and children, a thought Cassidy refuses to even entertain.
Her back bone of steel is only matched by the Colt forty-five peacemaker tied down low on her right hip. Independent, headstrong, and confident: will that be enough to stay her as she makes her annual trip into the Eastern mountains of Idaho territory and back or will well disguised evil destroy her? Join Cassidy as she faces danger head on, and wages war in the greatest battle of her life...SURVIVAL.

I am completely drawn in. The only suggestion I have is change chill in the first sentence to chilly. I am going to back you, and put you on my watch list.. Please take a moment and check out Savage Tomahawk. Let me know what you think. Have a great day and Happy writing! T.J. Martin view book

First let me say that you have talent. Your excerpt was so disjointed, it forced me to find the logic. The more I read the more I realized there was no logic to it, I was reading Dogge's mind. I really hope that is what you are going for, if not well maybe I need to check myself in for 72 hrs. This ... view book

I made it through chapter 4, and I must say I was reminded of the BBC"s television programs. Your manuscript read that way too. Was that your intent? It is funny, and it does touch on a very sensitive issue facing people/industries today. I found some glaring spelling errors 1) realise should be re... view book

Hi, Thank you for the opportunity to read your work. Fantasy is not my genre, except for J.R.R, and his I only like in movie form. As I read through chapter one here are some things that I noticed. 1) it seems as though the story line is a bit forced. I am not sure if you intended for it to be this ... view book

I have to be honest. When you told me your story was about a buccaneer, my first thought was "OH GEEZE". But I put on my happy face, and sat down to read a manuscript that was going to be nothing but "aye matie" and well you know. lol... What I found as I read your first chapter is WOW! I don't like... view book
