Taniel finds herself lost after the death of her great aunt. Lost, lonely, and unsure of what to do with her life. The decision is taken out of her hands at the reading of her aunt's Will. If she wants to keep the house the two of them lived in together she has to move to Montana to live with her great uncle Reese. Her aunt wanted to make sure that her brother was well and being taken care of, and now its up to Taniel to see to it that he is.Taniel hadn't bargained for Blake, her uncle's step son. She can't figure him out no matter how hard she tries, and though he acts nice and respectable to her face she can't help but feel he is making fun of her. But together they are the only ones who can figure out what is happening to the missing cattle on the ranch, and their growing feelings for each other aren't helping matters. She's simply confused and Blake seems hostile about the whole situation. The survival of her uncle's Ranch depends up them getting along, but will their growing feelings get in the way?
