ALERT: SECRET PLAN!

Argh, 3 months since I said I was back, and I'm still struggling to fight my way out of a pile of paperwork. However - how'd everyone like to join me in an experiment?

KILLJOY is now published, so I'm going to see if it's possible to get on Amazon's best-seller list for a couple of seconds by selling lots of copies AT THE SAME TIME.

Don't know if it'll work, but whatever happens, I'll post the result here, so the rest of you guys can make use of the info.

If anyone's up for it, here's what to do....

This Thursday (19/11/2010), go to Amazon.co.uk and search for my book:

Killjoy by Andrew Thorn, ISBN: 978-1907690099 ( It costs £5.99). Order a new copy (or several, for Christmas prezzies) at 8:15PM.

Also, tell all your friends to tell all their friends to do it too! Don't worry if it says only 1 copy available, that's probably because it's print-on-demand.

REMEMBER: THURSDAY 19/11/2010 AT 8:15 PM

Either nothing will happen, or It'll get on the list, or we'll crash Amazon (Cool!)

Thanks.

I’ll get on to reciprocating ASAP, but as you can see, I'm a bit busy at the moment!

The only way to fight the killers... is to become one herself.

Joy Kilbride works as a courier, providing a secure delivery service for MI5 and 6 in London. Her duties consist mainly of mind games, out-thinking hypothetical opponents who may not even exist. Her job is not supposed to be dangerous. But British intelligence is overstretched... When her department are assigned a menial field task, Joy and her colleagues stumble across evidence of high-level treason, and a conspiracy to force America into a war with China. As the people she cares about are picked off one by one around her, Joy is labelled a traitor by her own superiors, and is forced to run. Hunted by her own side, fanatical conspirators and a ruthless assassin with an agenda of his own, she is driven to greater and greater extremes in order to survive. In the end, the only way to save herself and thousands of innocent lives is to become as bad as her enemies.

Hi Tamara, welcome to Authonomy. Had to have a look at this, I went to a college called RBC. This is fun stuff. Chapters (or episodes) might need breaking into smaller chunks for a novel this length, but that’s really minor. Shelved. Andrew Thorn (Killjoy) view book

Hi Traci, Really busy at moment so not doing detailed crit, just backing things I think are good. This is good! Good start, sets the ominous tone. Shelved. Andrew Thorn view book

Hi T, I’m with Shinzy on the pitch-splitting – people should be reading this, and the pitch is your main ‘sales’ device! Shelved. Andrew Thorn (Killjoy) view book

Hi Abra, Welcome to Authonomy. Really like the unusual format of the opening here. No time for detailed crit at the mo, life is a bit crazy – so am backing this now, and will come back to it later. Andrew Thorn (Killjoy) view book

Hi Chris, Oo, this is creepy! I’ve got no time at the moment, so not doing detailed crti – anything I like I’m just backing to push up the charts. So – shelved! Andrew Thorn view book
