about me

If there is one word that identifies me, it would be passionate, and what I read must touch me, inspire me, educate me, and move me to tears, to smiles, to sighs, to want more. Why read, otherwise? I feel the same about writing.

I can no longer keep up with the read requests. If you have requested one and received a comment from me, please consider yourself lucky, and go buy a lottery ticket. In the future, I will read when I have spare time, but I have writing to do of my own, so don't hold your breath. Be assured that I know how you feel, as nobody is reading my writing, either, but there is always the better off-chance that you can exchange reads with someone new.

I do not accept friend requests as this tends to clutter my news feed.

I am no longer proof reading or editing mms. This should be done by you before you request a read on your upload.

I have become willy-nilly with my backings, so there is no telling when I will change my shelf or why.

While this author has expanded the lore of the chupacabra to create a man-eating monster of spiritual origin, being nearly impossible to capture or kill, it has been done in a confident and convincing manner for an entertaining work of terror equal to Cujo. This on-the-edge-of-your-seat page-turner... view book

This is history with flavour. This author has written a French recipe for a German murder, served up in a world war, with a complete list of ingredients, including the secret ones, as France is invaded and its citizens are put to the test.. The main character comes off as a very innocent head chef... view book

I enjoyed this relatively unexplored coming of an era of the practices of the supernatural. The clear and precise telling of the circumstance and struggle to survive of two sisters alone in the world is vivid, as is the economic failure of their family shop, and their hunger for meat as the winter-... view book

By the end of chapter 4, this author has accomplished thriller in every sense of the word, and with my heart racing and my mind dreading that which was promised in the pitch, I am already shaking my head no and hoping that the telephone is not picked up at the other end of that call. With the subtl... view book

It takes a special voice to breathe life into America’s cold dead past. This author has that voice, and in the opening chapters brings history alive and lively to the reader. But that is only the beginning of a complex story that continues into the present, from the 1860’s to 2012, and spans the f... view book
