about me

* FOR ALL THOSE WONDERING WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT... I HOPE TO POST A FEW MORE CHAPTERS VERY SOON!

I am enjoying my glorious 40s. I am originally from Northern Ontario but after a few stops in different cities, now make beautiful Montreal my home.

I have been keeping journals and writing poems and other non-fiction since my teens. I always hated reading however; it gave me headaches and could not keep my attention.

In 2004, in my late 30s, I applied to university. In the process it was discovered I had a very 'correctable' reading disability. I now have a degree in social work and am catching up on all the reading I have missed.

Over the years, I have led individuals and groups in therapeutic writing processes. I have always found tremendous power in words.

I am currently working on my first novel. I am inspired by the people I meet, their courage, determination and life experiences.

I will back well written texts that keep me interested. I appreciate if you back me because you have read my book and appreciate my work, and not for just as a reciprocal backing. I can probably comment better on literary fiction; I am not very familiar with fantasy and science fiction genres.

I write because I love writing - and because I LOVE this story. I hope you will like it as well. Constructive comments always welcome.

Thanks so much to Miguel Lamiel (Absentee Bidder) for the lovely cover.

The Gathering Heart

Dima Dupere

An independent and self-centered artist becomes an unlikely messenger and discovers that life is an intricately woven web.

Following a close brush with death, Shannon’s life is turned upside down. This once fiercely independent woman is disturbed by nightmares and recurrent chance meetings with Steve, a young widower grieving the murder of his wife. She takes comfort in Gracie, her eccentric neighbor who talks regularly with her deceased husband. When Shannon tries to understand what is happening to her, she follows her heart and begins a journey that will transform her and unite the most unlikely individuals.

Hi ... I jumped in at chapter 3. Lots of action and descriptions. Try to reduce the length of your sentences or add a few more commas. Other than that. GREAT. view book
