about me
Done with the website after about a year and a half. Authonomy as a whole is worth finding likeminded readers and writers but not the best of places to get your book out there. Don't spam people's accounts like its high school prom popularity contest.
You look like an idiot.
Here's the secret to getting your book published:you've heard before, there is none. Authonomy will not get you some golden ticket to high class luxury and banging prostitues like you're Saladin. One in a hundred thousand writers will form an idea, one in ten thousand will write a story, and one in a hundred will get published. It's not scientifically based, but those are about the odds
You must be ruthless and disciplined in your approach. Research the publishers, find out what's hot, what's not with the trends and in pop culture. Know your demographic and the genre you're writing in. Don't settle for less but don't expect to write the next Harry Potter series.
You can dream big but start off small. It's a dog eat dog world in the business of publishing and writing. You need to be part researcher, writer, debater, know every question you might get asked. Take criticism with a grain of salt. Understand you are not aiming to write for everyone, your aim is for a specific audience.
Want that big contract? Get published, pay your dues, and write a greater sophmore novel. That's it folks. Trading spam invites for your book up the ladder is like giving out free handjobs for spare change. It won't get you anywhere in life.
Hear the Rex, Be the Rex, Destroy the Rex, Become the Rex.
*Boom big ass hollywood style explosion while I walk away real cool with my stunner shades without looking back*
Now that's what I call a big bang.
