about me

By way of introduction my name is Julia A. Ergovich, and I have written a collection stories and am looking for a publisher or agent. I am a midwest writer (Kansas City, Missouri) and hope to write a screenplay and novel in the next 3 years.

I graduated from Rockhurst University with a BLS in English (emphasis writing). My writing mentors were Whitney Terrell, Janet DeSaulniers, and John Arnoldy.

I write to evoke emotion and compel the reader to find things within themselves and my written page that have them make discoveries and identify the human nature of the world.

Chapter 1 Good engaging reading. Being introduced to John and weaving his backstory through the chapter was skillfully done. Realistic portrayal of war and the front. John being a transported English toff from Chicago volunteering for the Red Cross is a good noncliche dynamic for this fiction ... view book

Chapter 3 I enjoyed this chapter and felt immersed by the English culture. I went to a Catholic girl school and my favorite part of this chapter was the English lesson on the Spenserian stanza and the St. Agnes ritual. I had a feel for English boarding school a la The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie ... view book

Chapter 1 This is an excellent first chapter! You have captured the vernacular dialect so well and the weather description of the monsoon rain coming down from the sky "like a giant's piss" sets the mood and feel for Delhi along with the description of the different languages and the stores. Chapter 1 This is a very good first chapter. We are introduced to the MC and know he is a hunter (of deer and sexual conquest). The description of the mountains and Colorado are very atmospheric from the snow to the sky. There is a dance between hunter and prey in this chapter deer and woman. ... view book

Chapter 1 This is intriguing and original and the story moves swiftly. Alternative medical treatments that help people and a doctor being investigated by the FBI is one crime I don't agree with being punished or harrassment. Afterall, isn't it up to the patient to decide. Your story is suspens... view book
