My Parallel Universe is a collection of short stories that is midwest memoir.
These are the stories of our heroine protagonist Julie and her quirky sensibilities that take us from getting a driver's license to local moviemaking, Kansas City Capos, mental illness and her quest for justice when her freedom is in jeopardy. Set in Kansas City, Missouri this is what growing up was like from the 70, 80s up to 2000s. Her relationship with her father (a lawyer) is a threaded theme that's about conflict, admiration and love.
