about me

I am a writer, though my full time occupation and two small children try to distract me from me endeavours, I never have enough time in the day and I survive on minimal sleep... But I'm happy. I love my wife, my children and my country, though not necessarily in that order.

The book is now out and on www.authorhouse.com or .uk and will be on amazon shortly. There's a fan group on facebook - fans of jake west. Lovin' your work.

I'm sorry but I now very rarely visit this site. Thank you for all your lovely comments but I don't have time to devote energy to networking on here in order to progress up the rankings.

Best wishes to you all.

Jake West - Warriors of the He....

The storm of storms is coming. The fate of us all hangs on the actions of two teenagers from vastly different worlds.

The freed prisoners and slaves, exhausted and war weary veterans of King Artrex’ Rebel Army are marching south ahead of an awesome force of ferocious beasts intent on their destruction. Ahead of them lies another enemy, the Southern Army of his brother, King Vantrax, positioned between them and their potential allies who are besieged in the city of Dassilliak. A bloody battle they are in no condition to fight cannot be avoided. They are surely doomed. Their one hope of salvation rests upon the fate of two teenage warriors; Jake West, ‘The Keeper of the Stones’ and Princess Zephany, the heir to the Ruddite throne. The storm of storms is coming. Spirits from the afterlife will return to wage war alongside mortals. Cities will fall. Slain warriors will rise from their graves and, from the depths of despair, the living will cling to the faintest of hopes; that an ordinary boy from a small city in the heart of England will fulfil his destiny, complete the prophecies, and become all that he can be.

The future of this world and countless others lies in the hands of a fifteen year old boy. If he fails to protect the Stones.....

When fifteen year old Jake West and his best friend, Ben Brooker, help Jake’s grandfather clear his attic of the junk he’s collected from his years of travelling, the boys discover an old chest containing a beautifully carved wooden box. The box contains a set of five mysterious stones and, when they erupt to emit a bright beam of light, it sparks an epic journey which will lead Jake into a dangerous world and to the discovery of some strange family secrets.

In an instant he becomes the latest in a long line of world protectors, a symbol of hope to millions and prey to all the warriors, wizards and evil tyrants who now know of his and the stones’ existence!

He is being hunted, he has to protect the stones, unite the entire population of a continent to defeat the most powerful wizard ever known and his armies, to free an army of slaves and rekindle the fight...

But first, he has to find the wizard who can mend the box of stones that he's just broken! For without them, good cannot prevail and he can never go home!

I was asked to upload a part of my sequel so that those who had read the first novel could take a look. Sorry for backing my own book but I rarely visit this site anymore and I wanted to let people know that I don't have the time needed to read and back other novels which seems to be the only way to... view book

Not my genre because I'm a bit of a wuss. It's compelling but heartbreaking when you see it through a child's eyes. You portray the fear and uncertainty very well in the opening chapters. It's powerful stuff and well written. I have backed this because I think it's a good read that I should read, b... view book
