about me

So, I grew up listening to my grandparents stories that took place at the turn of the century. Always fascinated me. Only makes sense that would be my era. That isn't my problem, though. Before I get into that, let me say that I do not write historical romance, though I believe any good fiction can be enhanced by a little romance.

I write character based stories about people and families that just happen to take place at the turn of the century. There is a mix of comedy, romance, mystery, usually drop in a murder or two and of course, some strong women and men as well as some not so strong ones. There are always children in my stories... always. But, no one could ever say that I write children's stories. I am not political or religious in manner, though both can show up when defining a character. The only two genres I can always say are never in my stories are SF and Fantasy (Though both are favorite reads).

My major is in Architecture, my minor in English with an emphasis in Creative writing. I always wanted to be a writer, but needed a job to support myself!

Problem? I don't have a real clue what my genre is.

Love, especially cause the Brands and the Teagues are family names. That's not all, of course The writing is beautiful and the intrigue pulled me in. When I get a chance, I want to come back and read more. view book

I love this story. I'm afraid that I've been so engrossed in it that I haven't looked for mistakes. This means that I am not giving you a fair crit. Well, so be it. Beautifully written. view book

Love it! I love it especially when I've been reading books I can't be positive about. You write so easily. It held my attention from the get go. Don't feel down that you've been unable to market it yet. One year is just getting started. You'll get there, don't worry. view book

I've read 5 chapters, enough to know you are a fantastic story teller. From a Texan, that is a big compliment. From the writer's viewpoint, you are a fantastic writer. I could cover the points I like best, but I think it sufficient to say, 'Well Done!' view book

I love the way this is going. My fav reads are historical fiction and (super love) fantasy. I am also interested in this period of history. Your writing is superb, mix of fact and fantasy perfection and your characters jump off the page they are so vibrant. I have only read the first 5 chapters, bu... view book
