about me

I grew up in Eugene, Oregon, just 60 miles from the geographic inspiration of Providence, the breathtaking Central Oregon Coast. In1996, I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Marketing. I currently enjoy a successful 14-year career where I manage a team responsible for the marketing of products and services offered by one of the nation’s largest insurance companies.

After appearing in financial trade magazines, and authoring several non-profit association newsletters, Providence - Book One of the Madigan Trilogy, is my first work of fiction. I'm seeking agent representation with a familiarity in Young Adult Fantasy/Romance.

I currently reside in the Twin Cities, Minnesota with my husband of 10 years and two young children.

Note: I truly apologize, but I'm currently working with a professional to edit Providence. Due to other obligations, I've taking to reading Authonomy posts as bedtime stories, making it difficult to comment regularly. Please know I try to return all reads and I back books in which I enjoy or see potential. If I've missed returning a comment, please remind me. Thank you for your understanding!

Kenly Madigan was told she would change the world. She had no idea that with one choice, she’d prove them right.

Being 17 years old is hard. Being one of triplets, in her family’s third generation of triplets, can be brutal. Though Kenley loves her siblings, it can be difficult living with her borderline-angelic sister Bryn, and her popular, good-natured brother Trigg. But life on the windy Oregon Coast takes a startling turn and Kenley soon realizes she’s anything but average.

Illusions of normalcy rapidly fade through a series of mysterious events; including a shocking discovery about her siblings and a gripping encounter with supernatural beings during a thunderstorm. But it’s the appearance of a handsome young stranger, and Kenley’s inexplicable and overwhelming attraction to him, that changes her irrevocably.

Kenley's providence lies ahead and a magical power buried deep within waits to be unleashed. But does her destiny reside in the arms of the one she loves, or in protecting others from the unfathomable evil building around them?

With one step, her choice is made and the consequences will change their lives, forever.

Providence, a quaterfinalist in the 2010 Amazon Breakthrough Novel Contest, is the first of a present-day fantasy/romance trilogy for young adults. Infused with Celtic folklore, it adds a contemporary twist, tying supernatural powers to nature.

Well, I can certainly see why this won an award! Why isn't this published yet, seriously! When I first started reading it, it reminded me of how I felt when I first picked up Red Dawn... though this has more modern bite. Congrats on a job well done. Backed! Tawn Anderson (Providence) view book

Your short pitch and cover art drew me in. Its a very vivid picture. I think you have a strong command of your story. I love the names, they really add creativity to your characters. Well done. Okay... when I read your short pitch I almost spit out my coke. First, it was hilarious. Second, I have a close girlfriend who we call Crazy Mama. At first I thought she wrote a book without telling me! This was simply great. I'm very impressed. Its hard to write about your life but also be able t... view book

This is my type of book (I'm a closet sci-fy fan). Your dialogue is natural and moves the story along. The story is unique and stands out on this site. Your writing is strong and your plot is well paced. I read the first few chapters, then jumped ahead. You keep the momentum going... something that ... view book

Unique premise... from homeless to disgustingly rich. Everyone's dream let they turn into a nightmare. Great writing style that kept my interest. I wish you the very best of luck on your journey up the charts! Backed! Tawn Anderson (Providence) view book
