Very confident writing here. I'd back this for the title alone (No Excuse Bruce) and noted a few other things. IMO it's better to start with the human, not the torpedoes so I'd bring Ch 2 upfront, and in that chapter, change 'artefact's' to artefacts, I think you need a simple plural. Great short pitch and story line. In Chapter one, the 'what have I done?' sounds corny (realistically, he'd be more worried about getting out on time). In Chapter two, the first line is a bit awkward, try pruning, or paraphrasing. but the prose can be easily polished. Backed. All the best for this o... view book

Great concept & title. I don't like the present tense, myself, and some of the dialogue feels off, eg 'School's such a waste of time'. Wouldn't kids say 'school sucks'? Still, very immediate & fun. Backed. view book
