about me

'Impossibilities Generate Nightmares In Teenager's Empowering Destiny'

'Ignited' is a story of a teenage girl, a character I created from a mix of children I have taught and some I went to school with, but mostly, Jazz is created as someone I would like to have known.
Let me know what you think!

Finding time to focus on my writing has been hard, what with three young children (and my husband). I am a school teacher, but work from home now as a tutor. However, I love any moment I can get to persue my writing career. I have written many poetry anthologies but felt that the time was right to enter the world of novel writing. Please take some time to look through my work and if at all possible make a comment that will enable me to grow and develop as an novelist. Thank you!

And a special thanks goes out to Bradley Wind for designing my book cover!

This is the first of three novels in 'The Golden Twins' series. I am editing the first and working on the second. Watch out for:

1. Ignited
2. Aflame
and
3. Embers

I look forward to reading your comments!

favourite books

I grew up reading Enid Blyton stories - so must mention her works first but over the years I have enjoyed works by:
Terry Brooks - The Shannara series
P.C and Kristin Cast - House of Night novels
Stieg Larrson - The Millenium series
Jean M Auel - The children of the Earth series
G.W Dahlquist - Glass books of the dream eaters
Scott Lynch - Locke Lamora
and of course J.K Rowling!

'Ignited' - A Golden Twins Nov....

Mae Tindell

There are no coincidences, only fate; a fate she cannot escape.

The old power has re-ignited within her, a power enabling her to read and control feelings that arise from people and places. As the power defines itself once more, Jazz stumbles across a dark secret; the deaths of 'The Golden Twins'. Her intuition tells her they were murdered, but who is going to believe a fifteen year old school girl?

This is a story of unlikely friendships, hope, love and family bonds that cannot be broken even in death. Embarking on a quest for the truth, Jazz discovers her life has always been unknowingly linked with all involved.

There are no coincidences, fate has brought her to the Twins for a reason.

Hi Meaghan, I read the first five chapters a while ago and have just popped back to see if you had uplaoded any more - and you have!!! Having read the next two chapters I am still very excited by this story. And you leave us hanging at the end again!! Well done Meaghan, and I will keep checking... view book

Hi there, I can only comment on the first two chapters as that is all I have read for now, but I can see that this is an excellent piece of work. Your sentence structuring and characterisation bring the story to life. It is easy to become drawn to Mike, Sylvia and Gaia. Well done. WL'ed and high... view book

I love your opening sentence - the images in creates is immediate and pulls the reader in straight away -so well done for that. What I did find a bit heavy though was your prologue...'two hundred years ago....' I am sure that as your first sentence in the opening chapter has such impact, your prolo... view book

This is so my type of book. The characters are well written and encourage the reader to affiliate themselves with each one and begin a character/reader relationship that is important with all novels. Emma is very likeable and is the sort of lead character every story of this genre requires and she... view book
