about me

PLEASE READ: I AM HAVING ISSUES WITH THE SITE. I AM UNABLE TO BACK BOOKS FOR THE TIME BEING. IT IS NOT COOKIES BUT CANNOT FIGURE OUT WHY. THE SYSTEM IS TELLING ME THAT MY COMPUTER HAS BACKED TOO MANY BOOKS. I HAVE NOT BACKED A BOOK IN OVER A WEEK! I'LL BE HAPPY TO READ OVER ANY BOOK AND SUBMIT A RANKING.

I have just uploaded an edited Chapter One- any suggestions are appreciated.

I am a 43 year old mother of an amazing 20 year old son currently in his Air Force training. The girl in the picture is my niece!

I have never written anything professionally and will need a bit of help smoothing out the rough edges.

I just have a story to tell and up until two years ago never even considered writing a thing, let alone possibly having my manuscript published. Any constructive criticism is appreciated.

I have no representation but would be interested in finding a good agent. My direct e:mail is dhibson67@yahoo.com

Backing Deals:

I have two favorite books on this site:
"Summer Rose" by K.C. Hart
"The Freel of Streel" by Ian Kraft.

I highly recommend them! I'm trying to help K.C. and Ian get their rankings up so if you back their book, leave me a note and I'll make sure to reciprocate! Make sure it shows on your shelf so I can see that it's been backed. Thanks

favourite books

No favorites, I have very eclectic tastes! It runs the gamut from Robert Parker, James Patterson, Francine Rivers, Nora Roberts and, because of my son's military affiliation and his love of history, varied military themed stories. Had trouble finishing Fly Boys by James Bradley. Great story, just so incredibly violent and sad.

I love autobiographies of interesting people as well.

My Road to Redemption: Cop's D....

Denise Rachat

Bad choices and desperation bought me six months of house arrest. It was the best thing that ever happened to me.

When I first met Carlo I knew he was no good. I was desperate and didn't care. The previous three months of planning my escape from 9 to 5 doldrums skidded to an abrupt halt and I was out of a job.

So what do you do when the devil himself hands you a weekly paycheck? Do you take it and work while looking for new employment or do you leave and figure a way to feed your fifteen year old son? What do you think you would do? Seems like an easy choice but when forced to make a life-altering decision it isn't always so simple.

This is my story of how I went from the proverbial cop's daughter to a convicted felon and how I'm making my way back on the road to redemption.

Hi, I've had a chance to read a few chapters. While I am no expert, I'm not going to repeat some of the areas I think you need to work on (and most of us do need to work on their book, I am no exception!) It is a fantastically unique and imaginative premise, which is a plus. I was also given... view book

Wow, the first chapter is fantastic. Read through Ch4. Well-written and I'm curious to know what the "voices" Christina is hearing are? Not sure yet how she's related to the family in the first chapter either. This reads like a great suspenseful story. Happily Backed Denise view book

This reads like a good romance/ edgy novel. Other than some minor typos (who doesn't have them?) it is well-written and engaging and I just want to read on! I love Zoe's character and I'm wondering if her and Robbie's relationship seems too good to be true. Happily backed Denise Would you... view book

This is very funny. I was a little leary reading the pitch just because it could have been a story that just droned on with minutia that nobody wants to read about. This did not do that and read easily and kept my attention. Be thankful you didn't go through the eye of the storm in Florida. ... view book

Hello, I read through ch 7. It is a very well-thought out book. I do agree with many of the comments; especially since I, too, am writing non-fiction and have received many valuable suggestions on this site. The first is, my opinions are just that, my opinions and subjective. This is your boo... view book
