about me

Passionate about aviation, science and technology and interested in everything else. Spent the majority of working life in IT but have tried several different occupations since.
Apart from putting my thoughts and imagination into a word proc. I paint watercolours, build/fly radio controlled model helicopters, enjoy photography and most of the 'Arts'. In fact anything that grabs my attention.

I'm not a fan of solicited exchanges but I'm most grateful to receive comment and backing and will respond but I back only what I like.

2150 Total Integration

Michael Gray

A cryo scientist, trapped in his own invention, is found alive 130 years later and becomes humanity's leader and saviour.

Mika Gerey, a cryogenic scientist, is buried in his newly developed cryo chamber during a 21st century super storm. He's found by 22nd century archaeologists and revived with considerably advanced medical science.

His dream of being born in the future becomes a reality. He quickly adapts but struggles with his new friend's ambition to exploit technology in the human body as he visualises the destruction of humanity and other galactic species as the end result. He finds new love but she's more than just beautiful, she's 22nd century!

Humans achieve deep space travel and become visible to friendly and aggressive species. Mika's psychology retains primitive instincts which he employs, along with 2150 science, to defeat attacks upon Earth. His leadership is seen as humanity's saviour and he's made world leader. His imagination takes humans out into the galaxy to become members of the highly evolved Galactic Seniors Partnership.

Technical science makes humans invulnerable, which again draws the interest of the 'Gohdamma'. Meeting this species reveals they are the originators of human evolution. Their revelations shatter fundamental beliefs and they leave humanity in awe of their knowledge and power.

A New Star

Michael Gray

A daydreamer is given the power to put things right.

Christian watches the night sky trying to imagine who's out there. He would give anything to travel to just one of those stars because he firmly believes humanity is only one of millions of species inhabiting our galaxy. Sitting on his favourite hilltop, staring into the endless twinkling blackness, a new star appears and changes his life. He can have powers beyond his imagination if he is willing to put right mankind's wrongs.

He agrees and is given alien technology that makes him more powerful than all humanity and becomes the first human to travel the galaxy. Governments around the world become desperate to discover who he is and the secret of his power but are helpless when confronted with technologies from the future.

His objective seems impossible but that's before he realises he has command of the elements. Even then he cannot begin to appreciate where this is going to take him and the whole human race.

Excellent writing, but from my perspective, heavy and slow paced...chapter one anyway. I tend to favour technically based Science Fiction and find historical themes an awkward fit with my interpretations of the genre. Because of this, I'm not sure that I can do justice to your obviously high quali... view book

I was immediately intimidated by the first sentence...it feels awkward and without flow. I would see it as... I like the premise, that an ordinary person can be enhanced to achieve amazing feats, it fullfills the dream that many of us have. Rooting the action in contemporary technology ensures that the fantasy is feasible or at least acceptable. An interesting and readable piece of sci-fi...backed. view book

Intriguing story but in all honesty I'm finding it difficult to read. My impatience doesn't allow me the luxury of taking in lots of detail, I want the plot to develop more quickly. Evenso, I acknowledge accomplished writing when I see it and would expect this to do well in it's genre. view book

I can wander off into other worlds, visualise the unthinkable and create the unimaginable but this is too abstract for my taste. Nevertheless, I recognise the skill employed and applaud the poetic influence, which helps the story flow. Nicely constructed and a good premise...should be popular. view book
