Hi Gordon. A bold idea for a novel. Researching this must have taken ages! I feel you are going for an artist voice here (i may be wrong though, just what i've thinking after reading!), especially with the opening. Doing this in first person is another bold chioce, and i think that's were it needs s... view book

Just read 7 chapters instead of making dinner! A good sign for the start of a novel. Very smooth writing - i found it easy to read and i think you have a talent for bringing character to life, which i thought was the major strength. You show a lot about Johnny through his actions and how you set up ... view book

Hey. The story starts out well - your preface is exciting and i HAD to read on. However, I think chapter one needs a bit of work (now, this is my own opinion, nothing more!) becuase i feel you Tell a lot about characters traits, personality and past, rather than Show through actions. An example is t... view book

You had me at beer! But seriously, i found chapter one very easy to get into - many due to the flowing style of your writing. I think, for the target market, you have a good stucture and layout - not too wordy, with well-placed speech and action.Daniel is a good character for this type of novel - yo... view book

The start to Ghost Warrior is really captivating. It's the way you craft your opening that pulled me in, as if i was about to fall of the cliff too! The writing is clever, characterful and poses questions that - married up with the interesting pitch - makes you want to read on. Already backed, just ... view book
