After a family break-up, Olive moves from London to a small seaside town in West Wales with her mother and younger brother. Plagued by feelings of anger, loss and loneliness, she begins to have a series of vivid and unsettling dreams where she is called upon to rescue a dying land.
At first she fears for her sanity, but she soon finds a strange power in this double life. By day, a lonely teenage girl, trying to make new friends and to make sense of this new life. By night, thrust into the role of a reluctant and somewhat surprised hero. It's all quite good fun, until she finds herself in mortal danger in both worlds.
