about me

Chronicles of the Broken has been picked up by a commercial publisher, so I'm making it private. Thanks to everyone who helped me polish it! It is now available for preorder at http://www.leewayartisans.com/broken with a March release date.

Rescuing Liberty is published and can be purchased at Amazon.com. I've only kept it posted so people can see the first few chapters.

I test drive every book I get my hands on. I am not genre specific. I just need to be captivated, entertained, enchanted or at least interested before the end of the second chapter, or I'll never finish it. Life's too short to force yourself to finish a bad book.

Rescuing Liberty

Amanda Washington

A precarious alliance, formed for the sake of a child, evolves into a crusade to rescue so much more.

Six months ago Liberty Collins was advancing in a career at a prosperous marketing firm and dreaming of a bright future. Now the only thing darker than her nightmares is reality. In a socially- and economically-collapsed America, Liberty struggles to find courage to endure and strength to protect herself. Tormented by the decisions she has to make and terrified that the price of survival will be her soul, Liberty clings to a higher power for guidance. Her faith, constitution, and sanity are challenged as the lines that separate right from wrong grow increasingly blurry.

Three months ago Connor Dunstan was a thriving personal injury attorney with a comfortable life and a deeply-buried past. Time ticks on and the country crumbles as provisions dissipate. The survival of Connor and his unforgiving niece—Ashley—rests on his ability to wield a shovel. But digging up bones is proving hazardous to his sanity.

Rescuing Liberty is a post-apocalyptic, Christian thriller; a story of finding light in a dark world and hope where none exists.

Now available on Amazon.

Love the language and the way you make it flow. It's different, but fun and unforced. Well worth a spin on my shelf. Amanda view book

As others mention, this is very well polished. Your scenery is vivid and easy to imagine. Hayley is a strong character, unwilling to back down, and I have to respect that. Well done. Backed. Amanda view book

This is a touching story that grabs hold of readers from the very first chapter. It would be hard not to fall in love with William's father (a widower battling both kidney failure and cancer) and William for watching it all and arranging his schedule to make sure his dad gets the treatments. This reads easily, and your characters are both interesting and believable. Sarah is easy to relate to in her guilt and frustrations. Shelved. Amanda view book

Chapter ten – Nice tear jerker. This chapter is seriously emotional and you did a great job at bringing that emotion to the foreground. Nits – you talk too much about his stub of a finger, and I found it distracting. I mean a mention or two is fine, but go through and count how many times yo... view book
