about me

I'm Faye from the Midlands in UK.
I'm keen on history, war, fantasy, and life after death type books but I will read anything.

I will generally not swap reads, I just browse the site and read something that catches my eye. My way of backing will hopefully allow the books I shelve to really get noticed so don't be upset if I havent backed your book yet. It will be up there eventually, I promise.

I will generally back books without commenting unless it has something I can add to or boost ego if I really like it.

Tormented Hero is my second book, (the first being a teenage fling I need to edit) and I will go on writing for as long as I can hold a pen.

favourite books

Dreago Saffuria must lead his soldiers away from a war that destroyed their home. Can he lead them with war still raging inside his head?

A powerful dictator and his army storm the walls of Teoate. Known only to the Teoates as 'the Enemy' they seek to deny the hostile takeover. A war of epic proportions ensues. When the war finally ends the handful of survivors must make a choice.

With their city burnt and their families murdered the surviving soldiers of the Kel Phife must decide on their fate. Do they run and hide? Or do they face the horrific truth: The Enemy's thirst is unquenchable. They will devour the world if the soldiers are resigned to their fate.

What story would it be if they chose the easy option?

Dreago Saffuria, a General and leader to the soldiers will lead his men across Polilli to encourage the citizens to fight against the Enemy. But with the kidnapping of his twin brother shadowing his heart will Dreago find the strengh to lead his men? Along with the images of his dead family still perverting his mind can Dreago battle with the demons he faces as well as instigate another war?

Along this journey Dreago encounters others like him. In particular a fiery brunette that would lead him by the nose if he wasn't careful.

Hey, The pitch was genious and catchy, the witch idea is refreshing to say the least. I was expecting her to cast a spell on those boys though in the first chapter! Sophia is a very likeable character, and we can relate to the stresses of her situation and to be singled out like how she is r... view book

I stumbled on this accidentally, I like that, I didnt feel obliged to read; i wanted to read and I did. This book, to me, doesnt make sense. The pitch and the short passageways at the front didnt make sense. It was awesome and refreshing to read something that really makes you think and you enjo... view book

Fast paced and thrilling. The reader is thrown into the thick of the action but without losing sight of the main character. He is edgy and likeable. Short sharp sentances really add to the racey first chapter. Cant criticise really, good simple language, no big words. I like it. You have a uniqu... view book

hey, A very difficult subject to talk about and one that you dont dance around. It is striaght to the point and bloody horrible to read! But you make the characters real and the sympathy forthcoming from your readers. One point to mention, in the first part the narration jumped from one charac... view book

Oh, p.s. sometimes the big words put me off and jolt me out of the story, - especially the short one line pitch... couldnt understand it. I know its silly when I writer doesnt even know half the words in the english dictionary. I'll get round to knowing all of them by the time I die I swear it. :@) ... view book
