about me

I summer in France and winter in Mexico. Both great places to teach Tai Chi and write. I am a former editor of 'The Weekly Bulletin' of South-Western Arizona, and the high mesa grasslands provided a rich backdrop for my imaginative contemporary fables.

A Wolf In She's Clothing

Leila Lee

A female wolf bitten by an infected human must live life as an ‘upright’ to save her pack from extinction.

In this first book of a trilogy Elle was once a wolf; then, bitten by an infected human and transformed, she is thrust into the harsh and unknown world of uprights. She must servive with the despised form of human. Here she meets Mike, the cowboy with a heart as big as the Arizona ranch-land he rides upon. To him this mysterious raw beauty is surely salvation; all his dreams come true...

But, some dreams were always meant to be nightmares, and this one has just begun.
How will Elle explain claw-marks left on wooden floors by her son Cassity; and what to do about Coyote, the pack outcast not worthy the name of Wolf. He who is always two steps behind and getting closer?

As the local community must find a way to deal with the increasing threat of unnaturally brutal wolf attacks, Elle is torn between her strange new feelings for Mike and her primeval sense of duty to her kind. Will she make the ultimate sacrifice to safeguard her son’s future...?

O.K. I'm reading it. No, I am fumbleing thru it. I stagger from one sentence to the next. I'm so disjointed I can't pull myself together. I'd quit but I am enthralled by language, images, combinations I didn't think possible and it keeps me twitching onto the next sentence. I'm not challenged, I'm b... view book

This is a slice of life book. It just happens to be a slice of most wives life. It's hard not to pick up most of that lifes cliches. Your writing is excellemt so if anyone can pull it off, you can. In fact you write so well it is almost a cop-out to excploit sex. But then, someone has to do it.... view book

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I'm into it and have a hard time leaving any for later. The content is so compelling I forget to look for ways to improve it. I don't think I can. With the number of book shelves you are on I can only hope you have time to look at A Wolf In She's C... view book

First sentence...Maanta is singular and could not be "many men" Better said is that he "was not just any man". I love your premise and admire the way you write. I'm putting you on my shelf again hoping you will give my book some consideration. Leila Lee A Wolf In She's Clothing view book
