about me

I AM CURRENTLY UPLOADING EDITED CHAPTERS OF MERCY. I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE COMMENTS/THOUGHTS/INPUT ON THE CHANGES. THANKS! =) Please forgive me for my technical blunders...I'm still figuring stuff out. =(

Time to re-do the profile! Here goes:

Still eighteen (but just for a little while) and now a college freshman! I'm majoring in writing (haven't declared a minor yet). I'm still figuring out my new surroundings and getting used to things - I lied. I'm not used to anything.

I spend my non-college days enjoying my family, friends, and the most amazing boyfriend there ever was. =) I love to laugh - my days are incomplete without it.

My writing career began when I was around twelve. I hit the decks with poetry, short stories, and finally my first novel in middle school. The novel posted on Authonomy is my latest work - finished my junior year of high school. It wouldn't be online without the people who support me (I'll leave out names, as they know who they are). Thank you guys. =D Enough said.

I very much appreciate backings and comments. I'll try my best to return reads, but it will probably take awhile. I apologize for any inconvenience. Usually when someone backs my book I put theirs on my watch list and I take a peek when I have the time. I will get there - I just need a little time. I hardly ever comment on a work, but I only back the books I have read and enjoyed. I usually leave books I've backed on my bookshelf for at least a day, unless I have more time to read.

That should be about it...

Watch me change the whole thing in ten minutes.

:P

favourite books

Every time someone asks me about my favorite books, I always give the same answer: Too many too list. Some of my favorites are the Harry Potter series, Inheritance series, the Twilight Saga, The Scarlet Letter, The Kite Runner, To Kill a Mockingbird, Ordinary People, The Host, The Luxe Series, Artemis Fowl series, The House of Dies Drear, Full Tilt, Darkly Dreaming Dexter, ...

Now, I'll say too many to list.

Mercy

Lyssa Springer

It was over before I knew what happened. One night changed my life forever - one person, one crime.

Mercy Wright, an everyday eighteen-year-old high school senior, expects nothing but an uneventful Homecoming game. Instead, her act of kindness toward another student turns sour - leaving her abandoned and raped on the side of a deserted road. Summoning strength she didn't know she had, Mercy attempts to return to her old life, only to find it's been destroyed in ways she never thought possible. The choice is hers - is it worth it?

I really love the way to switch between the different points of view. Your pitch is was originally caught my eye, but once I started reading I found I just couldn't stop. Your details and writing style is breathtaking - and what will keep readers coming back for more. Wonderful piece of work. view book

This isn't something I would normally read, but it caught my eye - great pitches - good job. I like your voice and the MC. I like this enough to back it - well done. view book

Great opening paragraph - it sucks you right in. Your MC is dynamic - very much liked. Backed. view book

I really like your voice - the dialogue flows well and you've got a great story here. I think this would do very well in the teenage market. I'm very happy to back this work. Nicely done. view book
