about me

My first post here was a childrens/ young people's novel set in the First World War but I have withdrawn it.
Essentially, I do not have time to 'play the game' here, and my story warrants better handling. I'm leaving my name and ID up here for the time being, so that if the opportunity arises I can get back to reading and commenting on others' work.
My sincere thanks to those who did support 'Mademoiselle' so kindly.

R Maxwell Thompson/R V Raiment is a published author with one novel and a half dozen tales in anthologies.

I'm English, live in Surrey, about 40 minutes train ride from Central London (which I love) and I work in education.

I draw, paint (mostly now on computer) and develop learning resources, love kids, like cats and dogs and horses, read a lot of history.

I cut my writer's teeth writing erotica and I have been a member of an on-line writers' community, the Erotica Readers and Writers Association, for almost a decade, though not continuously, and have had a number of works published on their site as well as on other equally reputable sites.

My first commercially published novel, "Aphrodite Overboard" has just been reissued as an ebook with an altogether sexier cover than the original. My work has also featured in the "Mammoth Book of New Erotica (Vol 5)", "Cream, The Best of ERWA" and in various other anthologies.

To my own pleasant surprise, my latest story has just been published in the anthology 'Lesbian Cops, Erotic Investigations' edited by the great Sacchi Green.

As far as future reading and supporting is concerned, much depends on time and my level of busy-ness. If I have the chance to help, I will.

Hello Michael I stopped by for a quick look and found myself hooked - only pressure of work could drag me unwillingly away for a while - so I'm high starring and watchlisting. This will be on my bookshelf as soon as I have a space. Richard Mademoiselle from Armentieres view book

Hello CMT and my apologies for not getting back to you sooner. I want to like this and to support it - there is a lot here that is promising and your period and setting offers a great deal of interest, colour and excitement. It is also very clear that you know your subject, and it's impressive... view book

Very striking. Had a first look and have watchlisted. Will be back :-) Tried to high-star too, but not sure if it worked. I'll check again, when the gremlins may have been sorted out. Richar Mademoiselle from Armentieres. view book

Hi I said I'd stop by. Sly 80 makes some good points, so I'll not repeat them. Thus far I've read the first chapter. You have left me with no choice but to come back as soon as I can and read the rest - it is too promising to leave alone. It is half a century since I was much the desolate... view book
