about me

I had my entire book uploaded, but realized that nobody really reads past the first few chapters anyway so it was pointless to keep the entire thing up in cyber space so I pulled it down. I hope this isn't a problem for anybody.

I am a stay-at-home mom with big dreams of becoming a published author. I recently finished my first young adult novel, and am now preparing to delve into the world of publishing. Yes, I'm a little nervous. I have always loved to write, and have tried writing novels a few times. but have never completed them, until now. I finally decided I was just going to do it, since I've always wanted to. I soon learned that writing is even more fabulous than I previously thought, and am already looking forward to starting my second novel. Writing has become a huge goal in my life, and an absolute passion.

The Consequence of Love

Julie Ann

Can love survive the demons of the past?

Lily Frost isn't looking for love. She is already in a tumultous relationship and doesn't need another. But when James Prescott, a friendly but puzzling stranger, enters her life, she is left searching for her heart, but knowing, somehow, that he has it.
James has been living in a fog, struggling to overcome the grief of his mother's death two years previous. Lily becomes the only source of light able to penetrate the darkness.
But the demons of ones past never stay put for long.
The identity of the killer is discovered; a man who has a personal vendetta against James' family. The lovers' sense of safety shatters. They are thrown into a world of anger and fear, a world which threatens to tear them apart forever.

You have the makings of a good story here. For the most part the writing flows well. However, I noticed quite a few typos. A good edit would help this story move further along. I don't normally read sci fi, but I think I could get into this. Backing. Good luck. Julianne (The Consequence of Love) view book

From what I've read of the pitch and the story, you have a very intriguing novel here. The dialogue is natural, although some of the descriptive text I felt was a bit formal. That's just my opinion of course and, regardless of that, the story is written well. Backing because I am intrigued by the st... view book

I find your story intriguing. It makes me think of a very cut and dry good vs. evil story, which I happen to like. I do have a nitpick for you though. You use the word 'lightening' in place of 'lightning.' Lightening is the act of something becoming less heavy or increasing in brightness. 'Lightning... view book

Excellent pitch. Well written story. It flows well and moves forward at a pace that keeps the reader moving. Backed. Julianne (The Consequence of Love) view book

Powerful beginning, but I felt like the second chapter kind of bogged down. It seemed like a lot of unnecessary backstory was interwoven with the necessary stuff. But I do think you have a good story here. I am going to back. Julianne (The Consequence of Love) P.S. I noticed the word 'as' a lot, ... view book
