Unfortunately, in real life, kids are mean. You have captured this reality skillfully in your book. I love the comment about returning to school with "the wrong clothes, the wrong interests, the wrong hair, the wrong skills, the wrong body." Nice to see someone writing a teenage drama about someone who isn't perfect. Fantastic! This is a stellar piece of work with excellent writing and strong research.
