Love & Cupcakes

SB Crispell

Jaclyn Pace’s magical ability to sense peoples’ desires exposes secrets of the town and puts her relationships and cupcake shop in jeopardy.

At 32, Jaclyn Pace has two big secrets. One: Jack can smell desire. Not in the a-wild-bear-can-smell-fear kind of way, but in the physical, literal sense. When she comes within two feet of someone desperate for something sweet to eat, she can tell, with one inhaled breath, exactly what they crave. As the owner of a cupcake bakery, it comes in handy. Two: She’s in love with her business partner, Graham. As her brother’s lifelong best friend, he’s off limits, but Jack can’t stop thinking about one mind-melting kiss more than 15 years before. Sometimes she gets the feeling he thinks about it too. But neither has been willing to make the next move. When her sister comes back to town with secrets of her own—and a natural affinity for making art out of icing—Jack finds that she and Harper have something in common for the first time since they were kids. And confiding in each other just may be the answer to winding up with everything—and everyone—they’ve ever wanted.

Reminders Of Them

S.B. Crispell

An emotional recluse uncovers details of her adoption purposely kept from her and finds herself desperate for the life—and adoptive family—she pushes away.

A decade after discovering she was adopted, Aden Crawford is certain of only one thing: finding her biological father will erase any lingering questions about who she is. But when she finds him, the discovery that she has two half brothers – and the realization that she has met one of them before—forces her to reevaluate what she wants from both families.

Aden inadvertently pushes away the two people who matter most, her adoptive sister, Finley, and her boyfriend, Travis, when the demand for her time and affection snowballs into more than she can handle.

To get her life back on track, Aden must risk letting people into her heart if she hopes to wind up with everything—and everyone—she’s ever wanted.

KBP, First, I've only read the first two chapters and I tried to go on to Chp. 3, but you have Chp. 23 in its place. Now on to the comments. The first two chapters are a wonderful introduction into the setting of the book. I love that you explain the hebrew phrases that flow easily into the story.... view book

Melissa, Megan has such a great voice. The tone is fast and frantic and likeable - it really gives the reader a good sense of who Megan is. I like that you jump right into the story and tell us why she is depressed. You tell us her problem and give us an immediate payoff that moves the story alon... view book

Derrick, Wow. This is an amazingly written story. You have such a strong voice for the main character. In the few chapters I have read, I feel like I know him and I am very invested in what happens to him and to Izzie. I love the small details about how he likes to daydream about having a heroic de... view book

Clare, The title is very intriguing. It's not what you would expect a book to be called and I think that works to your advantage. it sucks people in by being different, which also reflects Catherine's personality. You've created such wonderful characters. From the beginning I was interested in Cat... view book
