about me

Signing with an Agent this week - I will keep everyone posted on the progress of ton ton macoute! Thanks for all the support and fine comments.

I lived in Texas for two years during the 1998 drought. Thirty days of temperatures over 100 inspired me to write my novel, ton ton macoute.

After Texas my family moved to the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia (yes my next horror novel takes place in a small town in Georgia.) Currently we are living in Toronto, Canada.

While attending the Master’ program for Professional Writing at Kennesaw State University in Georgia, my creative non-fiction pieces won first place in the University’s annual writing competition for two consecutive years. My story 612 West Maitland went on to win a second statewide award and was published in, O’Georgia! A collection of Georgia’s Newest & Most Promising Writers. Although my accolades are currently in the fourth genre, my twisted mind, when set loose, conjures horror.

Dan, I've taken a quick peek - I wish I had more time. It's good. The writing is tight - it has the look and feel of a professional which goes a long way. First line I would remove "had" in front of marched. Instead of a "few" days later - say three or two or four - (just nit picks) Lower down, i... view book

William, I think Faust's Butterfly has real potential on the comercial market. (Thanks for your comments on ton ton macoute.) I've had a few readers catch the words you've noted and I need to upload the changes. Best of luck with this Patricia Fulton view book

Sheryl, I can see why this made it to the editor's desk. I have to confess I've had a few of these dark thoughts myself! I hope after your rewrite you find a willing publisher. Patricia Fulton ton ton macoute view book

Lewis, I think you have an interesting idea with the River. It reminds me a little of Neo from the Matrix (minus the sci-fi aspects) but I was a fan of the concept then as well. Each chapter ends on a point that will make the reader want to turn the page and that's big for me. Watch your main charac... view book

B.J. I'm not a big fan of first person narrative but I found myself engaged and curious enough to go to the next chapter. That alone got you backed. Now, if they make a movie out of this I want Kevin Spacey to play the lead. Best of luck, Patricia Fulton ton ton macoute view book
