about me

I love to write Christian material and it would be a dream if I could do this full time. I finished my first Christian novel and is available for purchase through my website. So obviously my novel is finished but I removed the last chapters from viewing. I hope this will spark some interest in my writing. I uploaded the first seven chapters of my second novel in what I plan to be a series of books. This book is also completed and would love to have some feedback on it.

For fun I enjoy anything that involves risk. I run marathons and lift weights and I would like to do some more rock climbling. I perfect day for me would be backpacking and camping along the trail.

Outcast

Eric John Swanson

Sequel to my first novel Closet. Derek and Jacob enter into a demonic world in search for lost souls.

After an epic battle a demon named Rah and a witch named Sally seek revenge on Derek by taking souls with them into a demonic realm. Derek summons enough courage to enter this world with a new believer named Jacob. Along the way they receive help from two members of the Trinity, namely the Holy Spirit and Jesus. While this search is going on Rachel needs to find a way to restore her son's eyesight and will then be sent to help Derek in his search for the lost ones. But as all look for the lost souls, Rah is conjuring up a scheme to get Timothy back into his possession. Will Rachel be separated from her son again? Will Derek and Jacob find the lost ones or will they be locked into a demonic world for the rest of their lives? Will Rachel find Derek again or will she die in the process?

Closet

Eric John Swanson

Closet is a novel about finding out what is really important in life and fighting for the ones we love.

Derek was at the bottom of despair from all the ministry rejections he was receiving. Then after a chance encounter with a witch, he picked up a book from the sidewalk that seemed to have all the answers he needed in life. Later that evening, as Derek was reading the book, there was a noise from the closet, and a door was opened to a demonic dimension that a local witch uses to take his mentally disabled son and wife into. Derek then enters the same dimension to save the ones he loves. Along the way he confronts the evil in his own life through the help of the Holy Spirit, who shows up in seven different human forms depending on the situation. After dealing with his own weaknesses Derek has to win back his wife and confront the two creatures that plagued his parents.

I believe this has great potential. The plot is very good. I just think that starting with dialogue right away in the first chapter may not be the best way to start the book. Maybe there should be more pauses and show some body language. I hope this book does well on this site. view book
