A Walk With Miriam

Kat Cannon

Walk side-by-side through the Exodus story with Miriam, sister of Moses and leader of the Hebrew people.

Put yourself in Miriam's shoes as God sets His children free from slavery and sets them on the road to the Promised Land. This Bible study walks students through the narratives of Exodus, Leviticus and Numbers, picturing events through the eyes of Moses' sister. Each week's lesson begins with a fictional narrative from Miriam's life, making sights and sounds come alive. The twelve lessons are divided into five days of study: reading and responding, inductive bible study, cross references and "A Mile In Her Shoes." Typologies of Christ are highlighted on every page as God's redemptive plan unfolds through this Old Testament story.

I was drawn to your book and its subject matter - definitely a worthy topic. I enjoy your writing style very much and can tell that you're a gifted teacher. You're also very adept at synthesizing a lot of material from a number of sources and condensing it down into digestible parts. I have a coup... view book

I've only read the first three devotionals, but I love your writing style. Very elegant and easy to read. However, there's a vagueness here that is a little bit frustrating. You never say in your second devotional what your illness was - I assume appendicitis? Also, you use the same phrase "my m... view book

I've read your first three chapters and I really like the way you've structured your story. Great job of grabbing your audience and drawing them in. The stark details and scenes you depict bring the harsh realities right into your readers' faces. I do think your writing could benefit by paying ... view book
