about me

I am actively seeking an agent & publisher for my book which has the potential to be made into a film with a great soundtrack (see songs mentioned in the book)

I am happy to do read swaps on most books and will happily back those that I like.

I feel honoured to read so many of your wonderful books, and ask that you forgive me for not always having the time to leave a comment for you- if short of time, I would rather back your book and come back and leave you a comment at a later time.

Love in No-Man's Land is the first book I have written and is now complete should anyone like to read more than the sample chapters I have submitted on this site.

I am in the process of getting my story edited so apologies for any flaws that you come across in the text.

UPDATE ON MY NEW BOOK, 'BITTER HONEY'

My second novel 'BITTER HONEY' is the prequel to Love in No-Man's Land, and tells the story of the early life of three of the characters in Love in No-Man’s land, and is now completed with several chapters now on this site so please feel free to have a read.
Just type in Bitter Honey and you will find it.
I have travelled extensively throughout Europe, USA & Australasia and have a deep love and respect of different cultures and traditions and would love to help bridge the gap between different social groups through my writing and any other opportunities that I can.

Love in No-Man's Land

M.Mehmet

An inspiring story of love that fights through the barricades of racial hate and prejudices, as told through the eyes of the four main characters.

The story of Love in No-Man’s Land begins in London in the early 80’s and tells the story of first love between two young couples.

So, come meet Soulla, Mustafa, Leyla and Marco, as the young lovers fight to be together, and share their painful and passionate journey.

Despite racial hatred that stretches back hundreds of years in their home lands, their love grows which tears their families apart.

A vicious attack on Mustafa leaves Soulla believing he is dead and she is forced into an arranged marriage.

But 25 years on fate has a bittersweet twist as Soulla discovers Mustafa is alive; a miraculous encounter brings them together- but can Mustafa reach Soulla in time before it is too late?

This is a story that needs to be told as many cultures around the world will identify with the character’s challenges in trying to love and live freely.

After all, no love should have to be a LOVE IN NO-MAN'S LAND.

Hi Camile, You set the scene really well, and make it easy for the reader to quickly get into the storyline- that's a really good start to a book. Your writing is fresh and with a good clear strong voice that will appeal to a wide range of readers, not just younger readers. Books written in the ... view book
