about me

I love fishing, reading, writing (of course), movies, and video games. I am a passionate high school English teacher with aspirations of creating great works of literature to entertain the masses. I earned a BS in English from Radford University in Virginia, and later received my MS in Educational Technology. I've been teaching since 2005 and will continue to do so for as long as the passion thrives. So far so good.

I also write, as is evident. I hope to make a successful career out of it and possibly move to full time writing later on. So take a look at the introductions to my books and let me know what you think.

In my writing I love chancing on an obscure idea that blossoms into a great work of art. With my ambition, I have no doubt that I will experience the success I look forward to. It is only a question of when.

Due to life's necessities and the limited hours in the day I am not able to read and comment on manuscripts very often. However, when I do I am very critical. The purpose of this is to help improve the manuscript and the author's writing, enabling them to reach their potential. In the new system, I will back a book if it has more merit than one currently on my shelf. Because of this, books on my shelf may remain for a long time if I come across a gem, and it will reap the rewards of it since the system seems to work cumulatively based on time on the shelf. It could be your book sitting on my shelf. Please do me the same favor if you enjoy my manuscript.

I have published my novels and they are available on Amazon, Smashwords, B&N, Sony, Apple, and most other retailers. Visit my website to find out more.

Also, an enormous thanks to Bradley Wind for the cover art to Invisible Dawn.

A Life of Death

Weston Kincade

A paranormal coming-of-age story about one boy's pain and hardship endured in a small Virginia town.

Losing a father and growing up with an abusive, drunk replacement is hard enough, but when you hardly knew the first because of his constant military deployment, it alters your perspective. As a seventeen-year-old high school senior, Alex Drummond learns the value of family and the meaning of dedication the hard way, but reliving people's horrendous murders does have its upside. Join him as he struggles to find his destiny, understand love, and discover what really happened to his father and the skeletons hiding within his small home town.

Invisible Dawn

Weston Kincade

A secret agency is hunting Madelin and her godfather, but she suffers from amnesia. They must master their abilities and fate before it's too late.

Jedd Altran, a computer programmer and longtime friend of the Boatweits, sacrificed his relationship with his wife and newborn son to keep a promise and find his goddaughter, Madelin. He finds deliverance in Madelin’s discovery and breaks her out of the facility where she’s remained for thirteen years. Madelin was kidnapped and trained by a black-ops agency to use her rare abilities in Plane Shifting to become the perfect tool, manipulating the world and its varied realities. However, all memories of her training and her parents’ gruesome murders have been erased, leaving her a fragile, empty shell. Each morning Madelin awakes to an Invisible Dawn and life holds no meaning for her, until she meets Jedd. Her new-found godfather becomes her beacon in tumultuous seas as they strive to find answers and allies.

On the run from the PASTOR agency’s first trained shifter, an egotistical man with power hungry desires, Madelin and her godfather find their lives intertwined with Roger, a broke Cajun gambler, and Daniel, an ex-mercenary in search of redemption. Can they survive nature's mysteries and humanity’s greed? Will they find salvation?

Available on Amazon.com, BN.com, http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/48842 and many other retailers for $.99.

I like it. Although, I'd change the last line of chapter 1. "Jotham proceeded to walk out the front gate with the artifact while everyone was looking for his student." That latter portion doesn't need to be told. I think it would be better if implied through his actions. For example, "Jotham walked ... view book

Interesting first chapter. I find the descriptions good and detailed, but not overly done. It is entertaining and you certainly wonder what will come of the young girl. Her future is unknown and she is unwanted. My one comment though was that the dialogue seems too pristine. I'd add a little bit mor... view book
