I'm Swedish but write everything in English nowadays. I used to work in finance and have a Masters in Economics, but then there were these stories I needed to write and so I did.

The Silver Bell

Hege Nabo

Master assassin Chia has never been afraid of shadows, until she visits a town where darkness itself has become a killer.

When evil comes to the world of Faïndrin, it does not flag the banners of a tyrant or spread plagues to crops and livestock. It comes as a shadow, as a killer in the night. And it comes by the sound of a silver bell.

Chia is assigned to investigate a series of murders in the small and isolated town of Ellodon, where ever-burning lamps light the streets and locals prepare for the midwinter festival. She thinks it will be like any other job; she is an assassin employed by victims' families to bring justice and has been hunting criminals for most of her life. Her runes to read and manipulate thoughts have always been a good aid, and should that fail she has her daggers.

She thinks this is just another murderer. She couldn't be more wrong.

The manuscript is complete at 100.000 words, contact me for more.

I think I had forgotten how much I love this kind of story! A quest, diamonds, adventure. The prologue is well-written and exciting. At the start of the first chapter, however, I got a little stuck in the description of the house. It sounds a little mechanic, giving too much information about the... view book

I like it, although the pace keeps me from feeling like I know the characters. I've only read the first three chapters though, so bear that in mind =) Loved the first chapter, creepy the way I like it! The second keeps the pace up for sure, but it felt a little like I was in a role-playing game and ... view book

Very nice, love your voice and will see if I can open up a spot on my bookshelf. There was a part in chapter one where the tense switches to present, not sure if it should be italics to show thought? No big deal of course. /Hege - The Silver Bell view book

I've only read the first chapter, and this is of course just my opinion. The story promises much and is interesting. The heroine is also potentially the antagonist, sort of. But the problem for me lies in the execution. For me, there isn't enough description about the transformation, possibly becaus... view book
