about me

Check out the draft of the new cover for The Nightcrawler on my Facebook page.

THANK YOU to everyone who gave their comments and support to The Nightcrawler. Without you I would not have made it to the ED. None of us get here alone.

The Nightcrawler has been selected for publication by Samhain Publishing. Look for it in the spring of 2012.

I am working on a new horror novel and will be uploading some very soon. Although I don't see myself trying to make a run for the desk. Once is enough.

I have lived in Canada all my life. My wife and I are happily raising 2 school aged children, and I work in the IT department of a small company.

We share our home with a rescued Greyhound, and I hope to someday be able to donate a portion of the proceeds from my writing to groups who volunteer their time finding homes for these wonderful, loving animals.

Annie, I was intrigued by your short pitch. It’s definitely the kind of line that grabs attention. Your long pitch didn’t, but the I liked the short enough to read on. I will pass on some advice. Some I got from authonomy readers and some from books on writing. First is adverbs. Many authors se... view book

A fun read. This is perfect for commuters who like to read on the bus or subway. The stories are short and sweet and written in a truly endearing voice. One small nit in the last paragraph of the first story. Should be 'I told...' not 'I hold...'. Good luck with this and enjoy your time in authon... view book

Luke, Short pitch could use a bit of polish. Consider something like: Tale of defiance, admiration [and] valour. Battles will rage night and day as swords clash in this battle for justice. Long pitch copy into word and do a spelling check. Warriors, emerge, their, land Also your short pitch i... view book

Robin, I don’t know much about fantasy or YA, but this seems to me to appeal more to 10 to 14 year old children. The premise seems to be one that would appeal to this group. I did notice a few things you might consider working on. Watch for shifting tense. The ground is veiled in mist and the ... view book

Deborah, Romance is not my thing but when I saw Toronto Airport in you opening, and being a former resident of TO, I decided to give this a read. I got the impression early in ch1 that Davi was a fairly down to earth, yet confident mature woman. I was surprised when she was so star-struck at the s... view book
